EPiC Elementary

EPiC Elementary

EPIC (Every Person Inspired to Create) is Liberty's first choice elementary school featuring a student-centered education which empowers creativity, equips students within personalized learning, and engages the community. EPiC boasts robust flexible learning spaces, requires volunteer hours from all families, includes an extended school year, and does not offer bussing.

Design Thinking

All of our schools are researching and working towards providing more student-centered classrooms where our learners are increasingly becoming more in-control of their learning. Liberty Academy is no different as they have flexible schedules to allow students to engage in the community, design solutions and showcase their findings.

Around the Town

Sharing Our Story

Liberty Public Schools currently offers 1:1 take-home devices for all students K-12. As we began our digital transformation process, we branded Liberty LEADS (Learning Engaging Achieving and Discovering with Students). To kick off our transformation we started building our social media presence. We have hosted robust Twitter chats and leveraged technology to connect our educators K-12 on #lpsleads.

Project Based Learning

This year Liberty Public Schools has partnered with the Buck Institute to train over 200 staff in Project Based Learning. Through the use of Gold Standard Essential Elements, we are poised to engage students in critical thinking and solving problems that matter in their world.

GoOpen

OER

LPS signed committed to Go Open in 2015-2016. This summer we hosted the first regional GoOpen Summit to learn from others around the area. Currently several of our curriculum teams are redesigning learning using OER. You can view their published work HERE.
